Accepting God’s Free Gift of Salvation:
1. Realize that God loves you and wants you to live with Him in heaven! John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” That you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” That there are consequences of sin. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
2. Repent from sin and self then turn to Jesus for forgiveness of your sin. Luke 13:5 Jesus said, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
3. RECEIVE Him and Believe that Jesus died, was buried, and arose again. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” Confess the Lord. Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Invite Jesus to be your Savior and Lord. Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Pray and invite Jesus to come into your heart to be your Savior and Lord. He will save you from the eternal punishment of sin.
Pray this prayer by faith to Him:
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe by faith that You died on the cross for me. I now turn from my sins and ask You to forgive me. I invite You into my heart and life to save my soul. I trust You as Savior and will follow You as Lord. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
